Your document is assigned to a specialized sworn translator. You receive notifications at every stage and can track progress in real time.

Step 5: Delivery and download

Retrieve your certified translation directly from your customer account; it will also be sent to you by email. The document includes the official stamp, the translator's signature, and a certificate of compliance.

4. Pricing and payment terms

4.1 Clear pricing structure

Our prices are calculated transparently and displayed in euros, all taxes included before confirmation:

  • Express rate: delivery within 24-48 hours (additional fee applies)
  • Urgent rate: delivery within 12-24 hours (subject to availability)

Pricing includes translation, certification, official stamp, and electronic delivery.

4.2 Accepted payment method

Payments are processed exclusively by credit or debit card through our secure partner Stripe:

  • Accepted cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Cartes Bancaires

5.1 Delivery times

We offer two delivery options tailored to your needs:

  • Express Delivery: 1 to 2 business days - For urgent requests (additional fee applies)

Delivery times are calculated in business days (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays) from payment confirmation. The exact timeframe is indicated when you place your order depending on the complexity of the document and the language pair.

Receive email notifications at every stage: order received, translation in progress, quality control, delivery completed.

5.3 On-time commitment

We are committed to meeting the announced deadlines. In the event of an exceptional delay, you will be informed immediately and a solution will be offered (expedited processing, partial refund).

6.5 Limitation of liability

Legal Translation cannot be held liable for:

  • decisions or refusals made by an independent authority
  • errors contained in the source document provided

7. Right of withdrawal and cancellation

7.1 Cancellation before payment

The customer may cancel their translation request free of charge as long as it has not yet been paid for.
No service will begin before payment is received.

7.2 Waiver of the right of withdrawal before payment

Before proceeding with payment, the customer must check the following box:

“I waive my right of withdrawal and understand that cancellation and refund will no longer be possible after payment.”

Without this express confirmation, the order cannot be finalized.

7.3 Right of withdrawal after payment

After payment has been confirmed, the customer has one (1) hour to exercise their right of withdrawal.

During this period, they may request cancellation of their order and obtain a full refund, provided that the service has not yet begun.

👉 The cancellation and refund request must be made from the customer account.
The customer must:

  • create a customer account if they do not already have one,
  • log in to their customer account,
  • access the details of their translation request,
  • submit the cancellation request from that interface.

No request submitted by any other means can be taken into account.

7.4 No right of withdrawal once the service has started

Once the translation service has begun, the customer may no longer exercise their right of withdrawal.
No cancellation or refund will then be possible, except in the event of a clear error on our part.

7.5 Legal compliance

In accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to services fully performed before the end of the withdrawal period where performance began after the customer's prior express consent and express waiver of their right of withdrawal.

8. Confidentiality and security of your documents

8.1 Absolute confidentiality commitment

Your documents and personal data are handled with the strictest confidentiality. All our translators are bound by a confidentiality agreement and professional secrecy obligations.

8.2 Technical security

  • SSL/TLS encryption: all communications are encrypted
  • Secure servers: hosting with OVH with ISO 27001 certification
  • Restricted access: only assigned translators can access your documents
  • Automatic backup: your data is backed up daily

8.3 Retention and deletion of documents

  • Original documents: automatically deleted 30 days after delivery.
  • Certified translations: retained for 3 years to allow free reissuance in case of loss
  • Billing data: retained for 10 years (legal accounting obligation)

You may request early deletion of your documents at any time through your customer account or by contacting us.

9. Intellectual property

You remain the owner of your source documents. The completed translation becomes your property once the order has been paid in full. You may use it freely for your administrative, legal, or professional procedures.

Legal Translation retains rights to its methods, technologies, algorithms, and AI-assisted translation processes.

10. Customer service and support

11. Mediation and dispute resolution

In accordance with Article L612-1 of the French Consumer Code, you may use a consumer mediator free of charge in the event of an unresolved dispute. Contact details are available upon request.

Failing an amicable resolution, the French courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction, in accordance with French law.

12. Changes to the Terms and Conditions

Legal Translation reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. The applicable Terms and Conditions are those in force on the date of your order. Any change will be communicated on this page with an updated date.
